MIT Media Lab
The MIT Media Lab is a research laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It opened in 1985 and was founded by Nicholas Negroponte and Jerome Wiesner. Its Personal Robots Group developed the Nexi MDS mobile, dexterous, social robot, which MIT announced in April 2008.
