Product overview
HONOR Robotics D1 is a full-size running humanoid from the Chinese consumer-electronics company Honor. Press coverage widely calls it 'Lightning', while Honor's own event page identifies the model as D1 and credits it with the Best Design Award at the 2026 Beijing E-Town humanoid half-marathon.
Associated Press reports that the autonomous D1 won the 21.1 km race on 19 April 2026 in 50:26. A remote-controlled Honor robot crossed the line earlier at 48:19 but received a 20 percent time penalty under the event's scoring rules. ASEAN Records confirms that D1 later completed a 10 km public-road course in Malaysia and marched in the country's National Day parade.
Honor has published no full specification sheet, price or sales date for the D1. Press reports give a height of about 169 cm, a mass of about 45 kg and peak joint torque up to 400 N·m. Honor's event page confirms none of these figures. An unverified catalogue also lists 25 degrees of freedom, so this page does not use that figure. The D1 remains a working prototype whose public appearances have been demonstrations and competitions.
“Equipped with autonomous perception and navigation, and an in-house high-dynamic motion system, it excels at high-speed movement and tough terrain traversal.”
