MIT AI Lab
The MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory began as MIT's Artificial Intelligence Project in 1959. Its Humanoid Robotics Group built the Cog upper-torso humanoid under Rodney Brooks. In 2003 the lab merged with the Laboratory for Computer Science to form CSAIL, its successor.
