Trust and accountability
Editorial policy
The humanoidversus Editorial Desk publishes short briefings only when reporting updates or confirms a sourced database record. This page describes the desk’s process and standards.
Sourcing rules
We prefer official manufacturer pages, datasheets, press releases, event-organizer records, official talks, and peer-reviewed papers. Reputable reporting may fill gaps that primary sources do not address. Every factual database change must cite a source opened during research; unresolved values remain unknown.
Confidence levels
- Official
- Published by the manufacturer, organizer, standards body, or another authoritative primary source.
- Reported
- Published by a credible third party but not confirmed in an official source.
- Estimated
- Calculated or inferred from available evidence, used sparingly and explained in the record note.
AI-assisted workflow
AI assists with source monitoring, extraction, comparison, and drafting. A separate AI fact-check pass checks each factual sentence against the opened sources, including model generation, variant, date, and units. The editorial desk then reviews the evidence, wording, database delta, links, and validation output before publication. AI checks support editorial review; they do not replace accountability.
Publication gate
A post must change or confirm a sourced robot, company, or benchmark record and show that change to readers. We do not publish rewritten press releases, aggregator-only rumors, backdated items, or templated posts whose only difference is a product name.
Corrections
Substantive corrections receive an updated timestamp and a visible correction note explaining what changed. The original publication time is preserved. Corrected articles and their affected records are collected on the corrections page.
Independence
Coverage and database placement are independent of manufacturers, investors, retailers, and event organizers. humanoidversus accepts no paid placement in news coverage. Commercial availability links, when present in robot records, are official links and not affiliate links.
Editorial desk
Articles are attributed to the humanoidversus Editorial Desk because research, verification, and review are a shared workflow. Each article exposes its sources, publication time, last verification date, AI-assistance disclosure, and database changes.
