Westinghouse Electric Corporation was a Pittsburgh industrial company founded by George Westinghouse in 1886. Its engineers built Elektro, the humanoid shown at the 1939 New York World's Fair. The original corporation changed its name to CBS Corporation in 1997; current businesses using the Westinghouse name are separate successors or licensees.
