Robot Wants to Be More Than New Kid on Block โProduct overview
AELOS is a small humanoid robot from Leju Robotics in Shenzhen, built for coding and AI education rather than industrial work. Leju's 2026 IPO application draft describes the series as a small humanoid for basic AI education, about 34.6 cm tall and 1.73 kg, and credits it with a stable gait algorithm and dedicated joint-drive technology.
The first AELOS went on sale in August 2016. A Sixth Tone report from November 2016 gave that model 16 humanlike joints, a special launch price of 2,999 yuan (about US$430), and about 1,200 units sold in the months after launch. The filing lists four tiers: Lite, a beginner edition for lower-primary pupils; Pro/LM, which adds vision, touch, temperature and humidity sensing; Smart, which adds large language and vision models for vocational and university courses; and Embodied, an embodied-intelligence teaching and research platform.
Leju reports selling 3,988 AELOS units in 2025, according to the filing. Leju's current site has product pages for AELOS Smart and AELOS Pro3, but the accessible page content does not publish a list price.
