Product overview
UBTech Robotics lists the Alpha 1E as a multi-purpose educational humanoid in its consumer Alpha series, separate from the Alpha Mini. The product page gives a height of 401 mm, a weight of 1.8 kg and 16 degrees of freedom, driven by 16 servo motors. It runs a 32-bit Cortex-A7 CPU at 900 MHz with 512 MB of memory and 4 GB of flash storage, and uses a 2,500 mAh, 7.4 V lithium battery.
The robot's listed sensors are a G-sensor, an infrared ranging sensor, a three-axis gyroscope, capacitive touch and a dual voice-processing microphone. UBTech says the robot supports voice interaction and mentions facial recognition, although no camera is listed. It is programmed with Blockly coding and controlled from a single app, and the product page links to an AI Education app. The page does not give a runtime or a connectivity standard.
A 2018โ2019 education catalog sold the Alpha 1E Pro and broke its 16 joints down as five per leg and three per arm, leaving no articulated hand joints. FCC records identify the Alpha 1E in July 2018, and later market research dates its announcement to 2018. The live official product page still documents the model, but no current official price was found.
โWith its advanced sensors, this versatile bot provides diverse capabilities, all managed from a single app.โ
