Product overview
DOBOT LUMO is a compact bipedal humanoid from Dobot, a Shenzhen robotics company that also makes collaborative robot arms. Dobot positions it for home companionship, research and education, interactive exhibitions and other emerging applications. It was announced on 5 August 2026 and made its first offline public appearance at the World Robot Conference later that month.
Dobot's official Benelux importer lists Standard and Max editions, both 124 cm tall with 30 total degrees of freedom, about two hours of runtime, 130 N·m maximum joint torque and a 1.5 kg single-arm payload excluding a gripper. The Standard edition is listed at about 40.5 kg with a Rockchip RK3588 processor, while the Max is about 41 kg and adds a Jetson Thor T4000, stereo RGB-D camera and 3D LiDAR. Launch coverage described the height more loosely as about 1.3 m.
Demonstrations show walking over grass, sand and cobblestones and reacting to visual and voice input. The distributor identifies the software as DobotWAM, while Chinese launch coverage calls Dobot's in-house embodied model Kongyi. The distributor page offers quotation requests but also labels the product unavailable, and no customer delivery has been confirmed, so LUMO remains classified as a prototype.
