About RoboParty Roboto Origin

Roboto Origin, also written ROBOTO_ORIGIN, is a biped humanoid prototype from Shanghai RoboParty Technology, a startup founded in 2025 by a team from Harbin Institute of Technology. The company says it began developing humanoid robots in April and completed the prototype in four months. In January 2026 it released the robot as a fully open-source DIY project on GitHub, covering hardware drawings, a bill of materials, a supplier list and control code.

Official documentation gives a height of 125 cm, weight of about 34 kg and 23 degrees of freedom: six in each leg, five in each arm and one at the waist. It states an approximate running speed of 3 m/s and runtime above two hours. The 48 V, 15 Ah battery is equivalent to 0.72 kWh. Peak torque is listed as 120 Nm for the leg joints and 27 Nm for the arm joints. Optional sensors include an Intel RealSense D435i depth camera and a 3D lidar. The official bill of materials identifies an 8 GB D-Robotics RDK X5 controller.

The robot is aimed at education, makers and research. No official sale price or order page was found. The published bill of materials is a parts-cost estimate, not a retail price, so it is not recorded as the robot's price.
