Product overview
Qinglong Lite is the smaller biped in the Qinglong family introduced at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai in July 2025. Shanghai Observer reported a height of 1.45 m and a weight of 45 kg. The model was jointly developed by the national-and-local humanoid robot innovation center, HCFA and the Zhejiang University of Technology Ecological Industry Innovation Institute. It is a physically demonstrated platform rather than a paper concept.
The co-developers position Qinglong Lite as a lower-cost, high-performance open robot platform for universities, companies and developers. The stated application areas include research, education, guided service and multimodal interaction. The wider OpenLoong project publishes robot hardware material, control software, simulation tools and development interfaces, supporting the entry's open-SDK classification.
No authoritative source reviewed gives Qinglong Lite's total degrees of freedom, payload, maximum speed, battery capacity, runtime or price. Third-party pages repeat additional performance numbers, but their original specification source could not be verified. Those fields therefore remain empty. The status is prototype because exhibition and later public running demonstrations are documented, while public ordering or customer delivery is not.
