Product overview

About Geminoid F

Geminoid F is a female android built by Hiroshi Ishiguro's laboratory with ATR and Kokoro. It is modelled on a woman in her twenties, and Ishiguro has said he will keep her identity confidential. IEEE Spectrum reported its unveiling on 3 April 2010 and said Kokoro planned to sell copies for about JPY 10 million.

The robot is designed to be remote-controlled by a human operator. IEEE Spectrum says it has 12 pneumatic actuators, against about 50 in the earlier Geminoid HI-1, and needs only a small external compressor. The laboratory's robot page gives a full-body height of 165 cm, a seated height of 95 cm, and 12 degrees of freedom: 11 in the head and one in the torso. Robotsguide reports a weight of 30 kg.

Robotsguide labels Geminoid F inactive, and no current product page or sales listing was found. This page therefore treats it as a discontinued historical model; the 2010 amount is retained only as a historical planned sale price.
