Light Origins LightBot-0

LightBot-0 is a compact bipedal humanoid developed by Light Origins for embodied-AI research. In an official release on 3 August 2026, the company called the platform Lightbot 0 and described a 90 cm, 18.9 kg custom humanoid with 21 actuated joints. The robot was physically demonstrated performing whole-body parkour tasks.

For the LightParkour system, a chest-mounted depth camera and proprioceptive measurements feed an onboard recurrent policy at 50 Hz. Light Origins says the policy was trained through a real-to-simulation-to-real process and demonstrated skills such as vaulting, climbing and balancing on the hardware. These figures apply to the LightParkour configuration of Lightbot 0.

The company's September 2026 Light-O1 release also says its whole-body foundation model was pretrained on in-house loco-manipulation data collected with the company's own humanoid. It presents hardware demonstrations involving LightBot alongside transfer tests on a Unitree G1.

LightBot-0 remains a prototype because Light Origins has demonstrated a physical robot but has not announced commercial availability or pricing. The official material reviewed does not publish payload, walking speed, battery capacity, runtime or hand degrees of freedom, so those fields remain empty.
