About Shanghai Electric SUYUAN 2.0
SUYUAN 2.0 is the second generation of Shanghai Electric's SUYUAN humanoid. It made its domestic debut at the China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair on 11 June 2026, before appearing at WAIC 2026 in July. Shanghai Electric describes the robot as bipedal.
The company's July 2026 release gives 41 degrees of freedom and says the robot has a multimodal vision system on its head and torso, along with a dual-battery hot-swap system. Jiefang Daily gave a height of 175 cm, a weight of 65 kg, 43 degrees of freedom and 12 degrees of freedom per hand. The 43 figure conflicts with the company's later 41, so this page uses 41 for total degrees of freedom.
Reporting from the June debut quotes Shanghai Electric staff giving a 5 kg single-arm payload and says ten units were already working on the group's internal production lines in warehouse and electrical-cabinet tasks. That supports pilot status, but there is still no public order channel. The sources reviewed do not give walking speed, battery runtime or compute hardware, and no price has been published.
