Product overview
SUYUAN (溯元) is an industrial humanoid robot from Shanghai Electric Group. The company unveiled it at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai on 26 July 2025 and described it as its first self-developed industrial humanoid.
Shanghai Electric's launch figures give a standing height of 167 cm, a weight of 50 kg and 38 degrees of freedom. The robot can carry up to 10 kg of total cargo, lift 2 kg with a single arm and move at up to 5 km/h. A 275 TOPS on-device AI processor handles data analysis and language-model integration, and LiDAR combined with binocular cameras supports self-guided movement.
In pilot tests, according to the company, SUYUAN identified, positioned, picked and moved mixed-size crates in a warehouse. The release names logistics and assembly-line work as its target uses. It does not publish battery life, hand design or price, and no customers are named.
A second generation, SUYUAN 2.0, was shown at WAIC 2026. Press coverage describes it as an upgrade of the launch model, so the figures on this page apply to the 2025 version only.
