Product overview
Figure 01 is the first humanoid robot from Figure AI, a California company founded in 2022 by Brett Adcock. Figure introduced it on 2 March 2023 as a general-purpose bipedal humanoid. At first it was aimed at warehousing, manufacturing, logistics and retail work. TechCrunch's launch coverage reported that the alpha build, completed in December, was being tested at Figure's Sunnyvale offices, and that the images shown appeared to be renders.
Contemporary coverage attributed a historical target specification to Figure of 5 ft 6 in (about 168 cm), 60 kg, a 20 kg payload, five hours of runtime and a top speed of 1.2 m/s. It also described the platform as electric. Figure no longer publishes a Figure 01 specification page, so these values remain marked as reported rather than official.
Figure's current company history identifies F.01 as its first generation and shows F.02 and F.03 as later generations. Figure 01 was never sold and no price was published. No formal retirement notice was found, but the platform has been superseded and is therefore listed as discontinued.
