Product overview
Moz1 is a wheeled industrial humanoid from Spirit AI, a Hangzhou-based embodied-AI company founded in January 2024. Spirit AI launched the robot in June 2025 and positions it for industrial manipulation and mobile work.
Spirit AI's hardware guide documents 26 controlled axes: four in the mobile base, six across the leg-and-waist assembly, seven in each arm and two in the neck. The standard end effectors are two-finger grippers with openings up to 120 mm. An Intel RealSense D455 head camera, two D405 wrist cameras and a Livox Mid-360 lidar provide perception. The guide gives the mobile base a maximum Cartesian speed of 500 mm/s.
The public MozRobot SDK is a Python interface built on ROS 2. It exposes motion, gripper, camera, mapping and navigation functions. By June 2026, Spirit AI described Moz1 demonstrations as running its proprietary Spirit v1.6 embodied foundation model.
Spirit AI has documented Moz1 deployment at CATL for battery-production tasks, while Reuters reported additional units at JD.com. These are selected partner deployments rather than evidence of general availability, so the status remains pilot. Spirit AI has not published height, weight, battery capacity, runtime, absolute payload or price.
