Product overview
The Zoomlion Z01 is a bipedal humanoid from Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology, the Changsha-based heavy-equipment manufacturer. Zoomlion first publicly identified the Z01 at Hannover Messe on 20 April 2026, where it performed factory-inspection and inventory-counting tasks. It later appeared at KOMATEK in Istanbul and at the World Robot Conference in Beijing.
Zoomlion positions the Z01 for industrial collaboration, intelligent guidance and research or education. At the World Robot Conference, Z01 units used imitation learning to grasp, sort and bind wire harnesses, performed synchronized dance and guided visitors. The interaction demonstration combined face, voice and gesture recognition with force-compliant control, motion planning, collision avoidance and autonomous navigation. Zoomlion's RobotOps platform supports the data collection, training, simulation, deployment and maintenance workflow used across its embodied-intelligence robots.
No official height, weight, degrees-of-freedom count, rated payload, speed, battery capacity, runtime or price has been published. Zoomlion describes internal work at its Smart Industrial City and public demonstrations, but no external customer deployment or ordering channel was found. The Z01 therefore remains a prototype. The wheeled Z03 shown alongside it is a separate model.
โThe Company is advancing embodied intelligence from laboratory research to deployable industrial applications and supporting intelligent manufacturing across industries.โ
Capabilities
Zoomlion describes the Z01 as a bipedal humanoid robot, distinct from the Z03 shown alongside it at the 2026 World Robot Conference. [2][4]
At Hannover Messe, the Z01 demonstrated factory inspection and material inventory counting in an industrial scenario. [3]
At the 2026 World Robot Conference the Z01 handled and organized wire harnesses, and visitors could interact with it by gesture. [2][4]
RobotOps covers data collection, model training, simulation, deployment and maintenance and supports multi-robot coordination. [3][4]
