NAO V6 (NAO6) Standard Edition listing (RobotLAB) โProduct overview
NAO 6 is the sixth generation of Aldebaran's NAO, a small programmable humanoid used mainly in education and research. Advance sales of the generation began in Japan on 26 June 2018. Maxtronics' current datasheet lists the robot at 574 x 311 x 275 mm and 5.48 kg, with 25 degrees of freedom and an Intel Atom E3845 processor. The product page lists cameras, microphones, tactile sensors, sonar and an inertial measurement unit, and says the robot can be programmed in Python, C++ and Choregraphe.
The current official battery specification is 2.9 Ah at 21.6 V, or 62.5 Wh. The datasheet gives 60 minutes of active use or 90 minutes of normal use per charge, with about 90 minutes to recharge. Each three-fingered hand has one coupled degree of freedom. The robot runs embedded Linux and comes with an official SDK.
Aldebaran Robotics was liquidated in France in June 2025. Maxvision Technology acquired its core robot assets the following month, and Maxtronics Robotics continues NAO6 distribution and support. Maxtronics directs buyers to a quote form rather than publishing a list price; the reseller RobotLAB lists the robot at US$16,990.
