Product overview
DR01 is the first humanoid robot from DEEP Robotics, a Hangzhou company that had built its reputation on quadruped robots. The company introduced it at the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2024, and press coverage described it as the firm's move into humanoid robotics.
DEEP Robotics calls the DR01 an 'embodied intelligence explorer' and presents it as a platform for AI and big-data training. Its official page says the robot can walk at more than 1.6 m/s, climb 18 cm steps and 25-degree slopes, and recover balance after slippery surfaces or external pushes. The page names self-developed J60 lightweight joints and J100 high-torque joints.
The official material reviewed does not give height, weight, degrees of freedom, battery life, sensors, compute or price, and the 2024 press coverage did not give them either. The company's page gives a walking speed of over 1.6 m/s rather than a stated top speed, so the structured maximum-speed field remains empty.
The robot is classed as a prototype because it was publicly introduced as a working humanoid. No sales or ordering information was found, and the sources reviewed do not say whether the DR02 succeeded it.
โDR01 has a walking speed of over 1.6 m/s and can navigate 18 cm steps, 25ยฐ slopes, and uneven terrain.โ
