Product overview
Laborer 2 (劳动者2号) is the second numbered biped in the Laborer humanoid line from Wuhan Gelanruo Intelligent Technology and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. It appeared with Laborers 1 and 3 at a Hubei showcase on 5 February 2025. HUST describes Laborers 2 and 3 as iterative upgrades of Laborer 1.
HUST gives a height of 180 cm and a self-weight of 95 kg for the Laborer series while discussing the three robots together, so those values are included as series-level figures with reported confidence. In the demonstration, Laborer 2 stood without assistance and raised a 10 kg barbell with both arms. That lift demonstrates capability but is not treated as a rated payload.
The Laborer series is intended for substation inspection and material handling. No Laborer 2 degrees-of-freedom count, speed, battery capacity, runtime or price has been published, and no customer deployment tied specifically to this numbered unit was found. It therefore remains classified as a prototype.
