Product overview

About Noble Machines Moby

Moby is an industrial humanoid from Noble Machines, a company based in Sunnyvale, California and formerly known as Under Control Robotics. The San Francisco Standard reported that Moby was demonstrated at the Humanoids Summit in December 2024. The company later emerged from stealth under the Noble Machines name on 4 March 2026.

Moby is a bipedal, two-legged robot intended for hazardous and physically demanding work. The company site says it is designed to handle stairs, scaffolding, unstable terrain and cluttered spaces. It lists a walking speed of 0.8 m/s, a 23 kg (50 lb) payload, five hours of battery life and modular end-effectors as the hands.

Press coverage gives a different payload: The Robot Report says Moby can lift up to 60 lb (27 kg). This page uses the company's own current figure and notes the difference. NVIDIA's case study describes current Moby3 units using a Jetson Thor developer kit and Isaac GR00T 1.7 with Noble's whole-body control stack; those computing details may not apply to earlier prototypes.

The Robot Report says the company's first humanoids went to an unnamed Fortune Global 500 customer. The company site describes limited robot-as-a-service pilots that it operates itself, and select access for teams that want to test their own use cases with its toolkits and hardware. The site lists no price, so Moby is classed as a pilot. Height, weight and degrees of freedom remain unpublished.
