Product overview
SARA is a female-presenting social humanoid made by Riyadh-based QSS AI & Robotics with Saudi Digital. She was introduced at LEAP 2023 in Riyadh, where she welcomed visitors at the Saudi Digital Pavilion. QSS's official project gallery shows a human-like upper body mounted on a circular wheeled pedestal.
She wears a traditional abaya and headscarf and speaks Arabic and English. Saudi Press Agency and later government reference material report that she answers questions, recognizes Saudi dialects, estimates the distance of people in front of her and initiates dialogue after the phrase 'Hello Sara'. QSS CEO Elie Metri said she uses a language model the company built itself and does not rely on ChatGPT.
Press reports describe SARA as 1.62 m tall. Some syndications printed the CEO's figure as '1.62 centimeters', but other reports correctly give 162 cm, so the value is treated as reported rather than estimated. QSS maintains an official project page and continued displaying SARA through 2025, but no price, order channel or customer deployment is published. Status remains prototype.
