Product overview
AKINCI-1 is an early two-legged humanoid prototype from AKINSOFT, the software company whose robotics work became AKINROBOTICS. The official media archive dates its public presentation to 18 July 2011, after the prototype project ended on 14 July.
AKINROBOTICS's current historical archive gives a height of 145 cm, a weight of 45 kg and adapter power, and explicitly labels its walking speed as 'No Mobility.' That conflicts with AKINSOFT's 2012 retrospective, which said the robot could walk. The safer interpretation is that it could imitate commanded human movements but did not have mobile locomotion. The company also described speech, question answering, arithmetic and image tracking.
Robotic Magazine reported 23 degrees of freedom with a detailed joint breakdown and DC-motor actuation, but its listed weight and battery conflict with later official records, so those details are marked as reported. Only one unit was produced. AKINCI-2 followed in 2013, and AKINCI-1 is discontinued.
