Product overview
AKINCI-2 is a bipedal humanoid prototype that AKINSOFT presented on 12 April 2013, at the company's 18th anniversary. AKINSOFT marketed it as Turkey's first commercial humanoid mobile robot, but the sources reviewed do not document general sales or customer deliveries.
According to AKINSOFT, the robot can stand and walk without support, keep its balance under outside forces, perceive its 3D surroundings, focus on nearby people and hold objects. It has 46 joints in total, 26 in the body and 20 in the hands. AKINROBOTICS's current archive gives a height of 160 cm, weight of 65 kg, one-hour runtime and walking speed of 72 cm per minute, equivalent to 0.012 m/s. It identifies a 22.1 V lithium-polymer battery but does not give its energy capacity or charging time.
AKINOID-3, also called AKINCI-3, followed the model. AKINCI-2 is absent from the current product range and its project ended in 2013, so it is listed as discontinued. Independent press repeated the launch figures rather than publishing test results.
