Product overview
Gongga One (贡嘎一号), also romanized Konka-1, is the first whole-robot product from the Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center. It was announced on 28 October 2024 as a lightweight humanoid intended to combine the center's perception and decision technologies with a physical platform. Later coverage explicitly identifies Gongga One as a wheeled, single-arm humanoid, so it is not classified as bipedal.
Figures supplied by the center and repeated by the World Robot Conference list a total weight of 25 kg, a maximum load of 5.5 kg and an eight-hour runtime. A China.com.cn feature adds 20 degrees of freedom and an electronic-skin dexterous hand. Demonstrations include opening doors and appliances, carrying objects, tidying, measuring vital signs and fetching medicine. The center also describes long-horizon planning and autonomous learning for tasks across large or changing spaces.
The center showed later Gongga One iterations and continued displaying the model at the 2026 World Robot Conference. No public price, ordering channel or confirmed customer deployment was found, so the status remains prototype. A separate web page lists 166 cm, 35 kg, 13 degrees of freedom and six hours for a Gongga robot, but those conflicting figures are not used because the page does not clearly identify the same Gongga One generation.
Capabilities
The center's published figures put total weight at 25 kg, while later reports identify the platform as wheeled and single-arm. [1][3]
The maximum load is reported as 5.5 kg, although the sources do not define whether it is an arm or whole-system rating. [1][2]
World Robot Conference and launch coverage both report an eight-hour operating duration. [1][4]
The robot uses an electronic-skin dexterous hand in demonstrations of grasping, placing and lifting household objects. [2]
