Product overview
GoMate is a full-size wheeled humanoid from GAC Group, the Chinese automaker. GAC unveiled it in Shanghai on 26 December 2024 (s1, s3). GAC describes 38 degrees of freedom and switchable modes: a quadrupedal mode about 1.4 m tall and a bipedal mode of up to 1.75 m (s1, s3).
GAC claims its all-solid-state battery gives about six hours per charge, and that its axial-flux joint motors reach up to 1,000 NĀ·m of output torque (s1, s3). The 1,000 NĀ·m figure is a maximum for the motors, not a rating for every joint. GAC's launch plan called for demonstrations in 2025, small-volume production in 2026 and mass production afterward (s1).
The program is still at prototype stage. In February 2026 GAC said it had completed four generations of prototypes and planned small-batch pilot production later in 2026, with mass production targeted for 2027 and security-sector benchmark use cases (s2). We found no price, purchase channel or public release date, so the price and buy fields are empty.
Capabilities
The robot switches between a quadrupedal mode, about 1.4 m tall, and a bipedal mode of up to 1.75 m, according to launch coverage. [1]
GAC claims about six hours of runtime per charge from an all-solid-state battery. This is a company claim, not an independent test. [1]
GAC says its axial-flux joint motors deliver up to 1,000 NĀ·m output torque, a maximum rather than a rating for every joint. [3]
Launch material named inspection on GAC's automotive lines. Coverage from February 2026 names security-sector benchmark deployments. [2][3]
GAC reported four prototype generations completed by February 2026, with small-batch pilot production planned for later in 2026. [2]
