Product overview
Kaleido 9 is the ninth generation of Kawasaki Heavy Industries' RHP Kaleido humanoid. It was first publicly shown at the International Robot Exhibition (iREX 2025) in Tokyo in early December 2025 (s3, s2). Kawasaki describes the platform as a development base for disaster-response work (s4).
Japanese technology press reports a height of 190 cm, a weight of 99 kg and 30 degrees of freedom excluding hands, plus about 30 minutes of operation (s2). These are press-reported figures, not an official specification sheet. A stereo camera in the head and a LiDAR in the chest provide environment data for movement (s2). The walking policy was trained with reinforcement learning in NVIDIA Isaac Sim (s1).
At the show, press reported demonstrations of the robot moving a shelf of about 30 kg, sweeping beside people with a broom-type tool, and taking remote commands through a head-mounted display (s1). The dataset lists the robot as a prototype, and Kawasaki has not published a price or ordering route.
