Product overview
Qinglong is the first model in OpenLoong's full-size humanoid line. It was unveiled at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai on 4 July 2024. The developer, Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., operates the OpenLoong open-source project, which the OpenAtom Foundation incubates. The project is linked to the National Local Joint Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, designated by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in May 2024.
Launch coverage gives 185 cm, 80 kg, 43 active degrees of freedom, 400 Nยทm peak joint torque and 400 TOPS of computing power. The official hardware repository for the V2.5 revision repeats the 80 kg, 43-DoF and 400-TOPS figures and adds at least 5 km/h walking speed, at least 20 kg payload and at least three hours of battery life. Those newer figures are labeled as V2.5 specifications here rather than silently applied to every earlier prototype.
The V2.5 repository describes motor-driven joints, dexterous humanoid hands, 3D LiDAR, depth cameras and surround cameras. It publishes design drawings and production materials together with an EtherCAT-based control architecture. At the 2024 launch, TechNode also described the robot picking up bread with its fingers.
Qinglong is a research and open-source platform rather than a product on sale. No sale price, order page or delivery status was found. Later models, including Qinglong V3.0 shown in 2025, are covered in their own entry.
