Product overview
The GR-2 is a 175 cm, 63 kg bipedal humanoid that Fourier unveiled on 30 September 2024 as its next-generation humanoid (s6). The launch release gives 53 degrees of freedom and a 3 kg single-arm load capacity, and says the detachable battery's capacity was doubled to extend runtime by about an hour (s6). Fourier's documentation lists a battery of about 950 Wh, about two hours of runtime and a peak joint torque of 436 NΒ·m (s1, s5).
The release introduces 12-DoF dexterous hands, while Fourier's current documentation lists a 6-DoF standard hand with a 12-DoF option (s1, s6). The Robot Report describes the GR-2 software platform as aimed at general development and industrial work, and it names no customers and gives no price (s2).
Fourier's March 2025 Pudong release says the GR-1 and GR-2 had entered mass production (s3). The GR-2 brochure is the official source for the detailed specifications used here (s5), and no public price was found.
