Product overview
Surena II is the second generation of the Surena humanoid series from the University of Tehran, shown in July 2010. Wikipedia gives it a height of 1.45 m, a weight of 45 kg and 22 degrees of freedom: six per leg, four per arm and two for the head.
IEEE Spectrum calls it the first Surena capable of walking. Wikipedia says it could walk like a human and stand on one leg, and that a remote controller handled walking and head movement. The stated walking speed was 0.03 m/s, a figure Surena III later improved on.
Surena II was superseded by Surena III, unveiled in 2015. No price, order page or current availability is reported, so this file treats Surena II as a discontinued historical model.
