Tesla Optimus V3

Optimus V3 is the later Tesla humanoid design called Gen 3 in the company's January 2026 investor update. Tesla explicitly distinguished it from version 2.5, described an updated hand design and identified it as the first Optimus design intended for mass production. This establishes an official model announcement, even though the update described a future unveiling.

The January schedule targeted production before the end of 2026. By July, Tesla said it was installing Optimus lines at Fremont after decommissioning the Model S and X lines. It expected initial robots to collect training data and support functionality development in Optimus Academy. These statements describe manufacturing plans and internal development, rather than units available to outside buyers.

The research reviewed by 13 October 2026 did not establish an official working V3 hardware reveal, customer shipment, order page or model-specific price. This record therefore uses concept status. Gen 2 measurements, later hand-demonstration numbers and long-term Optimus price targets are not assigned as V3 specifications; undisclosed fields remain null.
